Can-coffee-maker-ratings-be-trusted-
By Ebenezer Heng
Coffee maker ratings are what consumers turned to when they are looking for a new brewer and according to some surveys; people tend to look at five or six different reviews on the models that they wanted before deciding to purchase.

In the market, there are two types of reviews and ratings. One is a very comprehensive commentary done by experts or gurus in this industry. It is usually five to six pages long and it provides a very detailed view on the coffee machine.

The other type is a collection of views from consumers that have used the particular machine. If you asked me which one is better, I would say that the latter, which is the one by consumers, is better.

This is because it contains the real issue and feedback that consumers have after they had used the machine. The problem is there is so much information, that unless you really analyze the information, if not, it is just a bunch of words.

Although it provides a better insight into the coffee brewer that you are planning to purchase, consumers seldom go for this type of ratings due to the sheer amount of work that need to be done.

So, while you can probably trust this sort of ratings, you would probably not be reading or using it due to information overload.

Most of us would look at what the expert has to say on the particular machine and if we can read at least five positive reviews from different experts about this machine, then we would likely purchase the machine.

But, have you ever consider the credibility on the machines that are being reviewed. Coffee machines are being reviewed when coffee companies send their machines to the respective experts.

This meant that before doing anything, the expert would have a new coffee machine. Now, think about it, if someone gives you a coffee machine on a regular basis, do you think you would say something very nasty and ruin this relationship?

I do not doubt the credibility of those experts; I am saying that relationship would sometimes prevent one from making a very in-depth analysis of the coffee machine.

Take Tassimo

brewer as an example, you can go and search for it, but I doubt you would see any negative comments about this machine. To start with, this is a really great brewer, but not everyone is suitable for this machine.

If you are someone that host parties and functions on a regular basis, then this machine single serve function would not be suitable for you. A full service espresso maker would have a better fit into your lifestyle.

Personally, I think most of the reviews and ratings can be trusted, but treat it as a reference rather than a direction. In the end, you need to find a machine that fits into your lifestyle. The best brewer of that year would not add value to you if it does not add value to you.
