What is a zojirushi coffee maker? I would not blame you for not knowing about this brand of coffee machine, the fact is, we live in a world that whoever makes the loudest 'noise' also makes the most money.

By the loudest 'noise', I meant their marketing and promotional effort. It used to be TV and print media, and recently, it has become pay-per-click and even you tube.

Bunn and Mr Coffee definitely has done their fair bit of marketing and in recent years, it is Keurig and Tassimo that has been agressively promoting their single serve coffee machine.

Therefore, it is no surprise that you have not heard of the relatively quiet zojirushi. But, if you are a homemaker, then I suspect you might have come across this brand, not as a coffee brewer but as thermal container.

And this is the strenght of this Japanese brand of appliance manufacturer that uses an elephant fo a logo. While, there wasn't any concrete testing done, the thermal capability of zojirushi is pretty good.

Based on the feedback and reviews garnered, the thermal container from this company is reportedly able to keep things in their same exact temperature for up to 4 hours. While, many companies also say about similar capability, currently, only zojirushi is able to do that.

And that folks, is the single reason why you would want to get a coffee maker from this company. While their coffee machines are not bad, coming with all the features and functions that a drip filter coffee brewer should have, personally, I think it is their thermal carafe is their greatest value add.

There is nothing special about programmable functions, or drip proof, and even the ability to grind is nothing novel. So, even if zojirushi coffee maker comes with all these function, nobody would view it any different from another coffee brewer.

However, if any of you has tasted sour coffee that is cold or burn hot coffee, then you would agreed with me, that you would probably go for the machine that is able to serve you fresh hot coffee.

That is exactly what this coffee machine with the elephant logo, is able to do very well. In fact, the company was

founded not to make coffee makers, but thermal containers. That is the reason why I did not even bother to bring out any of its other features but this.

Think about this, if you do not have a thermal carafe, there are a few scenarios that you would be suffering from. First, you might have to drink cold coffee, or you might have to pour away the coffee that has gone cold. And lastly, even if you have a warmer plate, the temperature is not well adjusted might burn your coffee, giving it a bitter taste.

So, personally, thermal capability is the only reason but one very important one, why you should get a zojirushi coffee machine. Brewing great coffee is important, but being able to enjoy it for the next few hours, is also important, don't you agreed?
